Rule Your Finances
Mogo is a Canadian fintech company driven by a core mission: to empower consumers with simple solutions that help them manage and control their finances. Their suite of products target people at different stages of their financial journeys and give them the tools they need to work towards their specific goals. As a company that prides itself on living outside the world of big banks they have always wanted their design ecosystem to reflect that; for the creative team as a whole this meant consistently delivering new and innovative approaches that would stand out in a now saturated and growing market. My role at Mogo was to lead the design and execution of different briefs from concepting to project completion.
As a digital finance company there was an aversion to showing physical currency or old school money management methodologies (no piggy banks here!) within brand imagery; this presented interesting challenges when it came to visually depicting various financial concepts in a way that felt fresh yet familiar enough to engender trust in a company that handles money and sensitive personal information. With this in mind we opted to keep images simple, bold, and high concept.
During my time at Mogo I designed for a whole range of use scenarios which included: social media content, print and digital ads, email headers, OOO ads, and special event assets to name a few.
