Sustainable and Generative Societies; Social Learning & Social Innovation

Current is an annual publication by Emily Carr University Art + Design that seeks to showcase the richness and texture of creative practice and research within the institution. Through a variety of forms and formats — interviews, case-studies, critical essays, reviews, and photo documentation — it challenges researchers to represent their processes as iterative cycles of research and to skillfully navigate information-led/practice-led methodologies. Each year, a different cohort gets to undertake the design of this journal from start to finish; I had the pleasure of undertaking the Art Direction and editorial design of Issue 04, around the theme of ‘Sustainable and Generative Societies; Social Learning & Social Innovation’.
